I keep realizing on a day to day basis that so much of my world is based upon what I have experienced as a child, or what I was introduced to with some regularity. This is also a responsibility of the parent. So often do we find ourselves "becoming our parents" when we get older. We return to what gives us comfort, to the familiar routine that we were introduced to by example as children. Some people escape this, but if we give a positive, assertive, creative and environmentally aware (I use this in the widest sense) model to seek to emulate then we have made a positive change.
